So, if everyone you're attracted to is another gender than you, is that not heterosexuality? Yes, there are other genderqueer people, but that's not my 'gender'.

I'm heterosexual for a couple reasons.įor one, nobody shares the same gender as me. Hopefully I don't have to explain to you how someone can be both genderqueer and a binary male, and I don't want to, so I'm not going to. Which comes to my genderqueer heterosexuality. I experience biphobia, and everything that comes with being bisexual, even if my highly personal interpretations of gender lead me to identifying with heterosexuality as well. And unless they are also genderqueer, I don't usually identify with other straight trans people either. People are largely going to interpret this as bisexuality, and I socially identify much more with other bisexuals than I do gays or lesbians. So, what do I mean by being a bisexual male? I'm male, and I'm attracted to both men and women. And both greatly affect my identity as a whole. I have a personal identity and a communal identity.

How can these coexist? aren't they directly contradictory, you may think? how can a genderqueer even be heterosexual, let alone bisexual at the same time? Genderqueer heterosexuality & male bisexuality, within the same person
